With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julia Ruth Brisendine of McCarley, Mississippi, who passed away on May 24, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Burdine and Estelle Scruggs Flippen; her husband Charles Henry Brisendine; her children, Joanne Brisendine and Charles Franklin Brisendine; and her siblings, Raymond Flippen, Sarah Lafferty and Willie Paul Flippen.
She is survived by: her daughter Melanie Welch (Kelly) of McCarley; her granddaughters, Stacia Fancher (Elliott) of Duck Hill and Sara Austin Welch of McCarley; her great grandchildren, Charles Reece and Ella Kathryn Fancher; her brother James Burdine Flippen of West Point; and her extended family, John and Carolyn Summerville.
