Roma Mae left this world on July 29, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Okle and Roma Idell Barker Bivens; and her son Larkin Smith Alford, Jr.. She is survived by: her close friends, Attala Printing, Attala Lock and Key of Alford's Lock; her husband Larkin Alford, Sr.; her children, Oakley Alford (Ginger) of Kosciusko, Denee Saxton (Johnny Buck) of Boyle, Wanda Watkins (Greg) of Carrollton and Jason Alford (Paula) of McCarley; and her cousins, Judy Gregg of Slate Springs, Bonnie Barker of Pontotoc and Rikki Ann Herdahl of Pontotoc. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wilson and Knight Funeral Home (910 US-82, Greenwood, MS 38930). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sunnybrook Children's Home 222 Sunnybrook Rd. Ridgeland, MS. 39157.
