It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Longino Rodgers of McCarley, Mississippi, born in Belzoni, Mississippi, who passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Malcolm Durwood Rodgers; and his son Stephen Longino Rodgers, II. He is survived by: his mother Marie Willoughby Rodgers of Belzoni; his wife Mary Peyton Baird Rodgers; his daughters, Susan Mishelle "Shelle" Bates (Lee) of Columbus and Haiden Alexander Rodgers of Fort Worth, Texas; his grandchildren, Liam Rodgers, Lann Rodgers and Lillie Layton Rodgers; and his siblings, Kenny Rodgers (Theresa) of Belzoni, Kay Kornegay (Ken) of Belzoni, Sande Cunningham (Joey) of Belzoni, Connie Morgan (Chip) of Leland, Paula Kiker of Belzoni and Leanne Duett (Perry) of Belzoni. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
