She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Paul B. Ritchie, Louella Lofton Ritchie Kornegay, Tommy Kornegay, Dennis M. Davis and Grace Spencer Davis.
She is survived by: her husband Steven Wayne Bates; her children, Colton A. Carr (Hannah) of Summit, MS., Lauren R. Bates of McComb, MS., Kaitlyn M. Bates of McComb, MS. and Steven T. Bates of McComb, MS; her grandchildren, Liam A. Carr and River B. Carr; her brother James P. Davis of Wiggins, MS; her parents, Dennis Carlton Davis and Judy Ritchie Davis of Smithdale, MS; and her uncles, Dock Boyd, Mohammad Schuman and Larry Ritchie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Mississippi Baptist Children's Village.
