Carl leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Carl’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Carl will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cephus Slaven and Aby Kindrick Slaven; and his grandchildren, Desiree Mulkey and Thomas Mulkey Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Denise Mull Slaven; and his children, Connie Slaven Horn, Vivian Slaven Twilbeck, Walter Wayne Kelly (Connie) and Bobby Tarrel Kelly (Misty). He is also survived by 10 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hartman Jones Funeral Home (1801 Delaware Ave, McComb, MS 39648). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
