It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Alan Newman of McComb, Mississippi, who passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Jean Burris and John Edward Newman; his brother Dr. Jeffrey Newman; and his grandson John Harris Savoie. He is survived by: his children, John "Hunter" Newman (Misty), Nina Newman Savoie (Joseph) and Meg Elise Newman; his grandchildren, Allison Newman, Atticus Newman, Everett Newman and Clay Savoie; and his niece Holly Newman Kleiman (Dave).
In honor of his beloved grandson, we ask that in lieu of flowers please send donations to the Ochsner Clinic Foundation, Pediatric Family Assistance Fund or National Niemann- Pick Disease Foundation.
