He was predeceased by : his parents, Rufus Nance, Sr. and Ethel Nance (Pickett); and his siblings, Henry James Johnson and Northa Lee Diggs of Milwaukee, WI.. He is survived by : his children, Kelby D. Nance (Kimberly) of Cantonment, FL, Caleb, Kelsey, Kinsley, Michael A. Nance (Donita) of Mildenhall, England, Alexys, Michaela, Quiaundra of Atlanta, GA and Allison E. Nance of Cordova, TN; and his former life partner Brenda Fenner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
