With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Ratcliff of McComb, Mississippi, who passed away on December 17, 2023 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Thomas Ratcliff to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. Ratcliff and Eunice Stockton Ratcliff; his son Erik Ratcliff; his sisters, Gloria Ratcliff, Patricia Barnett and Alice Casey; and his stepsons, Chuck and Mark O'Brien.

He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Smith Ratcliff; his stepchildren, Erin O'Brien, Stephanie Turnbo (Ralph) and Randy Ray (Judy); his nephew David Keith Casey; and his sister Bonnie Davis (Ron). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

“SSG Ratcliff (Rat) was a wonderful and caring person. There was no subject that he couldn't offer you some advice on and if he didn't know, he knew someone down by the house that did. We often exchanged work stories whether it was driving trucks or working in the prison system. I will miss my friend but I will never forget him. So, on behalf of the saxophone section of the 41st Army Band for which he served and my family, we extended our heartfelt condolences. SFC (Ret) Otis J. Bailey.”
