He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Wray and Hattie Adams Wray; his wife Marie Land Wray; his daughter Patricia Elizabeth Wray; his son-in-law Larry Black; his granddaughter Ayla Ann Pettit; and his sister Edna Amos.
He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Black of Ethel, Evelyn Wray Wood (Mike) of LaVergne, Sharon Whitaker of Longbeach, Helen Black (Barry) of Louisville and Lisa Pettit (Phil) of Kosciusko, Mississippi; and his sister Erma Wray Wingfield of North Dinwiddie, Virginia.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Doty Springs Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
