He is survived by: his wife Amy Walker McDaniel; his sons, John D. McDaniel (Kasi) and James G. McDaniel (Brittany); his siblings, Eva Deniece "Sissy" Ursery (late Mike), Doyle Lane "Bub" McDaniel (Lisa) and Barry Kent McDaniel (Kim); his grandchildren, Michael (Sommer), Christian, Savanna, Hunter, Alexandria, Ellis, Ann Archer, Kenlee and Lawson; and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Niklaus, Kolton, Rebekah, Finn, Wyatt, Gracie, Beaux and Lukas.
