We announce the death of Anthony Eugene Dawson (Meadville, Mississippi), who passed away on June 13, 2026, at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Prentiss Dawson and Genevieve Good Dawson; his wife Betty Halford Dawson; and his sister Tangie Dawson. He is survived by: his daughter Tonya Dawson Beach (Bobby, Jr.); his siblings, Kent Dawson (Becky) and Karen Jones (Tony); his grandchildren, Jared Brownell (Bridget), William Dawson (Rebecca) and Jillian Turner; his great grandchildren, Vivienne, Harper and Everett Anthony; his children, Keith Smith and Carisa (Jesse Guillory); and his pet Smiley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
