He was predeceased by : his parents, Billy Gene Smith Sr. and Anita Bradley Page Smith; his stepfather David Bradley; and his siblings, Billy Gene Smith Jr. and Theresa Carter.

He is survived by : his sons, Jessie Smith and Adam Smith (Katie); his grandson Jax Smith; his sister Deborah Sullivan; his nieces and nephews, Savannah Pollan, April Smith, Amber Carter, Jason Carter and Justin Carter; and his great-niece Kylee Pollan.
