She was predeceased by: her husband Reverend Dewitt Mitchell; her parents, Frank High and Bertha McCarty High; and her sisters, Virgie Frances High Welch and Nettie Marie High Mitchell.
She is survived by: her son David Mitchell (Laurie) of Mendenhall. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Willow Grove Baptist Church (979 Willow Grove Church Rd, Collins, MS 39428). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (979 Willow Grove Church Rd, Collins, MS 39428).
