He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kade and Lydia Mae Anderson Winstead; his siblings, Billie Winstead Chapman, Albert Ross Winstead and Virginia Winstead Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Billy Ray Brown, Robert Smith, Mary Frances Winstead and Mary Winstead.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Padgett Winstead; his children, Angie Winstead Prather (Vic) of Ellisville and Shey Winstead (Allison) of Mendenhall; his siblings, Philip Winstead and Jean Winstead Brown; his granddaughters, Logan Boe (Jared), Bayleigh Prather, Gabi Prather Johnson (Matthew) and Reagan Ishee; and his great grandchildren, Harry, Rosie Boe and Penny Sue Johnson. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church (362 Poplar Springs Rd, Mendenhall, MS 39114). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Poplar Springs Church Cemetery (362 Poplar Springs Rd, Mendenhall, MS 39114).
