He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Russell and Dorothy Jones Mahaffey; and his siblings, Charles Keith Mahaffey and Dorothy Ann Russell Blakeney. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Russell; his sons, Chris Russell (Kym), Kevin Russell (Amanda), Brian Russell and Brandon Russell; his stepdaughter Jacque Coulter (Richard); his grandchildren, Carlie Russell, Emma Russell (Noah), Sara Russell, Cody Russell and Peyton Russell; his siblings, David Ira Russell (Joann), Eddy Mahaffey and Denise Jones (Terry); and his great grandchild Caden Russell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews other family members.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee (302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS 39111). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
