With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Markus Quintin Fanning of Mendenhall, Mississippi, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on May 14, 2026 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Haynes Fanning; and his parents, Samuel Plato Fanning and Emma Lonello Fanning. He is survived by: his children, Quintin Fanning of Laotto, IN, Matthew Fanning of Union City, CA, Patricia Ruckhaber (Mike) of Spokane, WA, Lori Senger (Tony) of Florence, MS and Ginie Boyette (Justin) of Fredericksburg, VA; and his sisters, Melissa Tucker (Tom) and Melanie Fanning (Daniel). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall (3077 MS-13, Mendenhall, MS 39114). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at the Mendenhall Cemetery (469 E Court Ave, Mendenhall, MS 39114).
