He is survived by: his wife Ruby Kay McMillan; his daughters, Margaret Smith (Terry Lee Smith) and Melinda Thomas (Steve); his sisters, Martha McWhorter, Justina Loomis and Elizabeth Stanton; his grandsons, Matt Smith, Ben Smith, Luke Smith, Zach Thomas and Zane Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Ridge, Rivers and Rip Smith.
