He is survived by: his wife Lyndia Joann Parten; his son Alton DeWayne Parten (Dianne); his grandchildren, Jared Parten (Lindsey), Brittany Robinson (Cary) and Camryn Ball (Alex); his great grandchildren, Emma Robinson, Cary Robinson, Jackson Parten, Graham Parten, Georgia Parten and Gray Parten; his siblings, Patricia Boswell, Cheryl Jones and William Parten (Debbie); and his brother-in-law Tommy Butler (Galye).
The family requests memorial donations be made to Midway Baptist Church in Mr. Alton's honor.
