She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Mayo, Jr. of Detroit, Michigan; and her parents, Beryl Eaves Luther of Louisville and James William Luther, Jr. of Suqualena. She is survived by: her children, Kristi Mayo Hodges of Meridian and Stephen Mark Mayo (Darla); her grandchildren, Stephen Hunter Mayo (Emily) of Warrensburg, Olivia Grace Mayo of Oxford and Zoe Clare Hodges of Meridian; her great grandchildren, Archer Mayo and Esme Mayo of Warrensburg, Missouri.; and her brothers, Jim Luther (Annette) of Biloxi and Jerald Luther (Cindy) of Meridian. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Robert Barham Family Funeral Home (6300 MS-39, Meridian, MS 39305). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
