It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benny Duett (Meridian, Mississippi), born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, who passed away on March 10, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Duett and Irene Evans Duett; and his siblings, Frank Duett, Tommy Duett and Margaret Gressett.
He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Chisholm Duett; his children, Benny J Duett Jr., Jennifer Duett Branstetter, Taletha Swearingen (Scott) and Tammara Kennedy (Brett Rigby); his sister Nancy Duett; his grandchildren, Evan Grace, Brady, Tatum Branstetter, Loren Robinson (Jordan), Brandon Kennedy (Emilee), Karli Swearingen, Bailey Gibson (Cade), Kristen Kennedy, Walker Swearingen and Eli Swearingen; and his great grandchildren, Easton, Piper, Jake, Magnolia Mae, Ruby and Rosalee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fisher House, American Cancer Society, Marine Corp League or Military Order of the Purple Heart.
