He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Linton and Lina Linton; and his brothers, Carl, Horace, Royce and Donnell.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Gibson Linton; his daughters, Karen Linton Thrash, Kristye Linton Smith (Chuck) and Kathye Linton Ramsey (Clark); his grandchildren, Christopher Weaver, Patrick Weaver, Lauren Thrash, Taylor Ramsey Clark (Ryan), Morgan Ramsey and Savannah Thrash; his great grandchild Caroline Clark; and his sister-in-law Nell Linton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
