Burnace Leo Gunter Obituary
Burnace Leo Gunter, a native of Meridian, MS and a resident of Elberta, AL passed away at the age of 93. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Merle Yvonnie Gunter; his children Donald Ray and Patricia Scott of Perdido Beach AL, Diane Madison of Foley AL, Burnace L. and Olivia Gunter of Willis Texas, and Debbie Gunter of Foley AL; his grandchildren Sean Scott, April Burton, Artie Burton, Alex Martinez, James Gunter, Leo Gunter, and Brandy Hodson; his great-grandchildren Asia Long, Cory Burton, Alissa Long, Avery Long, T.K. Burton, Bently Nelson, and Penolope Stilwell; his brother Billy Wright. He is preceded in death by his parents James Mack Gunter and Sarah Ethel Goldman; his siblings Marie Luker, Jean Luker, and Bessie Ross. He was born March 1, 1924 in Meridian Mississippi and joined the Marine Corp. in 1941 at the age of 17 and married Merle Yvonnie Piggott in 1959. Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 9700 Celeste Rd. Saraland, AL 36571 on Thursday December 14, 2017 at 11am with funeral services to follow at 12pm. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
