He was predeceased by: his wife Gwen Roberts; his parents, John Roberts and Pearl Roberts; and his siblings, Pauline Talley, Mary Alice Roberts, Pearly Mae Crawford, Willy Frank, Olwese, Rufus, Ruben, Thomas "Doc", James, John and Roy Roberts.
He is survived by: his children, Richard H. House (Jennie), Barbara Long (Roy) and Susan Brown (Chris); his grandchildren, Brian Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Brett Johnson, Taylor Farr, Cameron Farr and Nick House; and his brother Danny Knight. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
