He was predeceased by : his parents, Guy Purvis and Carole "Toni" Purvis. He is survived by : his wife Sara Upton Purvis; his children, Elic Purvis (Alex), Anna Carole Purvis and Wesley Purvis; his brother Warren Purvis (Richard); and his nephews, Leon Powell and Larry Dunn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, his family.

The Purvis Family suggests memorials be made as donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
