She was predeceased by: her husband James Albert Avara; her son Stephen Louis Avara; and her mother L. L. Harvey. She is survived by: her children, Gary Avara (Vickie) and Jennifer Avara-Lott; her grandchildren, James Avara (Ali) of Leander, TX and Alisha Kornhammar (Tim) of The Colony, TX; her great grandchildren, Kathryn Avara, Amelia Kornhammar and Claire Kornhammar; and her sibling's children, Lisa McDaniel, Bruce Charlton and Glen Charlton.
