He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Sylvester and Antoinette Schulz Sylvester; his wife Martha Sylvester; and his siblings, Joyce Roper, Beryl Marlow and Russell Sylvester.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Sylvester (Joyce), Diana Keith, June Johnson and Kay Watkins Sosebee; and his close friend Tommy Wilkerson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews.
The Sylvester Family suggests memorials be made as donations to Southern Pines Animal Shelter at 1901 N 31st Avenue Hattiesburg, MS 39401 in lieu of flowers.
