Gary Wayne Stokes Obituary

We announce the death of Gary Wayne Stokes (Meridian, Mississippi), who passed away on June 6, 2026, at the age of 71. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, G. W. Stokes and Barbara Stokes; and his nephew Terry Evans. He is survived by: his wife Debra; his daughters, Kelly Meglich (Mark) of Birmingham, AL and Krystal Greathouse (Nathaniel) of Bowling Green, KY; his grandsons, Luke and Logan Meglich; his sisters, Kay Stokes and Jennifer Jones (Andy); and his sister-in-law Cheryl Staton (Hagan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Westwood Baptist Church.
