He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Purvis and Elsie Sentell. He is survived by: his wife Betty James Purvis; his daughter Jennifer Purvis Walton; his son-in-law Jason Walton; and his granddaughter Lily McCall Walton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Robert Barham Family Funeral Home (6300 MS-39, Meridian, MS 39305). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Meridian Community College Foundation (601-484-8612) in memory of Gerry Wayne Purvis.
