It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Brown Bruister (Meridian, Mississippi), who passed away on May 3, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Lavell and Mattie Noblin Brown; her son Hubert "Hugh" Bruister, Jr.; her siblings, Mary Emma Brown Wright and Charles Gideon Brown; and her nephews, John Franklin Wright and Mark Perry Hargon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Amber Morgan (Todd) of Auburn and Ainsley Allison (Jacob) of Helena; her grandchildren, Riley Kathryn and Owen Clark Allison; her sister Anne Brown Hargon; her nieces, Brenda Wright Davenport (Chuck), Diane Hargon Wells (Ronnie) and Robin Hargon Glebe (Dennis); and her nephew David Jay Wright (Annette).
The family requests memorials be made to Mt. Sterling Baptist Church, Post Office Box 715, Butler, AL 36904 earmarked for Operation Christmas Child.
