Jane D. Hurst Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 22, 2026, at the age of 83, Jane D. Hurst of Meridian, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Dobbins and Inez Dobbins; her husband Fieldon Hurst, MD; her sisters, Sandra Dobbins and Dot Abbott; and her nieces, Arlene Dobbins and Lisa Mott.

She is survived by: her daughters, Dana Hurst Simmons (Stacy) and Jackie Hurst Newell (Lyle); her granddaughter Annabelle Hurst Simmons; her nephew Johnny Abbott; and her niece Diane Sangster.

The family request memorials be made to Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church.
