She was predeceased by: her husband John Abney Chalk Sr.; her parents, Alvin Thomas Edgerton and Erma Schell Edgerton; her brother Alvin Thomas Edgerton Jr. (Nadia); and her nephew Alvin Thomas Edgerton III.
She is survived by: her sons, John Abney Chalk, Jr. (Linda) and Brig Gen; her grandson John A. Chalk, III; and her great grandchildren, Hadley Chalk, Hayes Chalk, Jackson Florey, Adeline Florey, Kyera Lane and Kaitlynn Lane.
