He is survived by: his wife Patti; his children, Morgan Alyse Boswell (Joe), Flynt Coleman Hobgood II and Jerry Wright Hobgood (Megan); his brother James Leslie Hobgood (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Elliott Maddox Boswell, Charlotte Gloria Boswell and Brooks Thomas Hobgood; and his close friend Perry Richardson.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Marion Community Church in his memory (P.O. Box 17, Marion, MS 39342).
