He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Goforth and Larenie Goforth; and his siblings, Wilfred, Wilmer, Willis and Marjorie Russell.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn; his son Marce (Lisa); his stepdaughter Marie Blackburn (Ronnie); his siblings, Delores Savelle and Gus Jr. (Jerrie Gail); his sister-in-law Mazelle Goforth; his grandchildren, Kevin (Angie), Daniel (Kristin), Tristan, Kaelin and Madelyn; his great grandchildren, Kyler, Kynlee, Lenora and Charlie Grace; and his extended family, George, Boyd, Miranda, Hannah Williams and Angelia Janousek.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to 15th Avenue Baptist Church or Calvary Baptist Church.
