He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamar C. Clay and Evelyn Blanks Clay. He is survived by: his wife Beth Chisolm Clay; his sons, John Calvin Clay, Jr. and Stephen Lamar Clay (Tabitha); his grandchildren, Sarah Clay and Caden Clay; and his brother Dan Clay (Susan). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
