She was predeceased by : her parents, Josephine Boardman Olson and Carl Olson; her husband Dr. Frank VanDevender; and her siblings, Lillian Baxter and William Olson.

She is survived by : her children, Dr. Karl VanDevender (Ann) of Nashville, Nancy Josephine VanDevender (Steve Ferguson) of Meridian and Michael VanDevender of Meridian.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
