She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Woody" Savell and Mary Lula Divine Savell; her husband Howard Hubert Baskin; her sons, James Olin and Joseph Delynn; her daughter-in-law Sue; her siblings, Curtis, Odie, Hubert, Girtie Mae, James, Mary Lee, Juanita and Mildred; and her grandson Dewayne Baskin.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda LaGail and Howard Marcell (Dian); and her sister Lorene Dooley. She is also survived by Seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Robert Barham Family Funeral Home (6300 MS-39, Meridian, MS 39305). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church (13091 Suqualena Rd, Collinsville, MS 39325).
The Baskin Family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made as donations to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church c/o of Marty Dooley, 11642 Hwy 494, Collinsville, MS 39325.
