She was predeceased by: her parents, Bunard Smith and Iva Mae Clark Smith. She is survived by: her children, Glenda Watkins (Jimmie), Debbie Downs, Cheryl Fontan and William Nelson (Suzy); and her brother Jerald "Red" Smith (Ann). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes North (7774 MS-39, Meridian, MS 39305). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery (858 County Rd 10, Stringer, MS 39481).
In lieu of flowers or floral arrangements the family would prefer plants, as to honor Ms. Mae's memory for years to come.
