She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Butler and Virginia Butler; and her grandparents, James A., Callie Butler, William M. and Ivah Rainer.

She is survived by: her husband William P. "Bill" Williams; her daughter Leah Hearn (Matt) of Quitman, MS; her grandson Noah Hearn; and her siblings, Mary Sumrall (Eric) of Hattiesburg, MS, Danny Butler of Whynot, MS and Patsy Thrash (Joey) of Philadelphia, MS. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

“This is Jessica Frank. I work on the CBS Sunday Morning show. Martha was kind enough to send me a beautiful hand-embroidered mandela with a lovely note in 2022. Unfortunately, she sent it to an address in Manhattan (on Walker Street) which wasn't a CBS address. Her beautiful sun was lost for a few years, but did end up at my office on W. 57 Street, on my desk. We are using her sun artwork on our show tomorrow. May she rest in peace.
