He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Gaddis and Mary Lou Gaddis; his brothers, Micky Gaddis and David Gaddis; and his parents-in-law, John and Gerry Watson.

He is survived by: his wife Marsha Gaddis; his children, Phyllis Barrett (B. J.) and Edwin Gaddis Jr. (Rachel); his grandchildren, Shae Stevens (James), Phillip Barrett (Heather) and David Barrett (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Chris Clark, Annabelle Stevens, Edith Barrett, Charlie Mae Stevens, Peyton Garner, Hannah Garner and Reese Addy; his brothers, Ben Gaddis (Sandy), Gilbert Gaddis (Lynn) and Scott Gaddis (Kathy); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Watson (Jan), Mike Watson and Sandy Spikes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
