It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mathilde Turner Howell of Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on September 6, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Mrs John Turner of Atlanta, GA; her siblings, Billy and Olga Duffey; and her husband Dr George Eli Howell. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Eli Howell (Cindy) of Madison, John Howell (Lisa) of Meridian, Augusta Smith (Billy Key) of Natchez, William Howell of Mandeville, LA, Lottice Bolton (Neal) of Atlanta, GA and Stephen Howell (Ana) of Huntersville, NC.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul Episcopal Church.
