He was predeceased by: his parents, Menton Smith and Gertrude Shadows Smith; and his wife Betty Jo Smith. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Atkison (Tommy), Mike Smith, Retha Diane Pogue and Kenny Lamar Smith (Cindy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
