We announce the death of Mildred Delores Eakes of Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 81. Mildred will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse Glynn Eakes; her son David Lynn Aston; her parents, Aron Jesse Jackson and Mildred Louise Jackson; and her siblings, Aron Jackson and Charlotte Vincent.
She is survived by: her son Tom Eakes; her grandson Carter Eakes; her great grandchild Jade Eakes; and her sisters, Katy Jackson and Louise Lewis.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sageville Methodist Church (4712 Arundel Rd, Meridian, MS 39307).
