She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert Loyd Cooksey; her parents, Glenn Brawner and Geraldine Brawner; her siblings, Ruth Phelps, Marilyn Frankenberg and Richard Brawner; and her children-in-law, Marilyn Cooksey and David Culpepper.

She is survived by: her sister Lois Sikorski; her children, Glenn Cooksey, Wayne Cooksey (Sue) and Norma Culpepper; her grandchildren, Chris Cooksey, Scott Cooksey (Amanda S.), Curtis Cooksey (Farrah), Stephanie Gilbert (Eric) and Davina Mock (Alex); her great grandchildren, Caitlin Farmer (Austin), Taylor Hester, Nicholas Cooksey, Blaine Cooksey, Adelyn Cooksey and Maedyn Cooksey; and her great great grandchildren, Elliot, Samuel Farmer, Emma and Tucker Hester. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in her honor to Suqualena United Methodist Church, 11241 Hwy 494 Meridian, MS 39305.
