He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Rush and Clara Rush; his sister Faye Harris; his sons-in-law, Jason Marshall, Alex Stuart and Shane Robinson; his parents-in-law, Lonnie Belk and Elma Belk; and his brother-in-law Dale Giles.
He is survived by: his wife Yvette Rush; his daughters, Angela Stuart Jackson (Mike) and Kim Robinson; his granddaughters, Courtney Lietzke (Micah), Tatum Gunn (Alex), Mackenzie Robinson and Mallory Claire Robinson; his great grandchildren, Marshall Gunn and Siobhan Lietzke; his sister Patsy Lovorn (Joe); and his sister-in-law Charlotte Giles.
