She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alton Ray Cecil and Birdie Jean Ford Davidson of Quitman, Mississippi.; her husband Dennis "Sonny" Gray of Philadelphia, Mississippi.; her sons, William Shirley (Benita) of Quitman and Ben Shirley (Hermalinda) of Meridian, Mississippi.; her granddaughters, Kristan Kelly (Daniel) of Meridian, Kaylin Wheat (Bo) of Columbus, Klaire Shirley (Logan) of Shubuta and Lauren Clay Shirley of Meridian, Mississippi.; her great grandchildren, Myles and Mace Kelly of Meridian, Mississippi.; her siblings, Shirley Kennedy (Jimmy), Martin Davidson (Pat), Sarah Davidson, Cecil Davidson (Sandy) and Deborah Keen (Skip); and her close friend Opal Davidson Bush. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
