She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Charles Porter Mosby and Mary Elizabeth Semmes Mosby; her husband George J. Newton, Jr.; and her siblings, Agnes Rand Bullock, Charles, Joe, Herman, John and William (Billy).
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Skelton (RV), George Newton (Sharron) and Sara Sikes (Shot); her grandchildren, Sharon Bucchin (Matt), Steve Skelton, George Newton IV, Jennifer Fox, Brad (Sarah) and Spencer Sikes; and her sister-in-law Sue Mosby. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
