She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Dub" Boren and Virginia Boren; her husband Tommy Shelton; her daughter Jennifer Shelton; and her sister Karen Koonce.
She is survived by: her son Zachary Shelton of Waynesboro, MS; her brother James "Butch" Boren Jr. (Lana) of Scottsdale, AZ.; and her friends, Suzanne and Steve Timbrell of Meridian, MS.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rainbow Connection at The Episcopal Church of the Mediator of Meridian, Mississippi, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
