He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Waters and Corrine Waters; and his daughter Cindy Waters. He is survived by: his wife Sarah "Lynn" Waters; his son Tommy Waters, Jr.; his grandchildren, Megan Fuller (Cody), Libby Kate Waters, Phinn Waters and Mamie Waters; and his great grandchildren, Linley Fuller, Ridge Fuller and Ada Fuller.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Stroke Association and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
