She was predeceased by: her sister Elaine McCary; her husband Bobby Gene Avera; her parents, Thomas Boswell and Karleen Boswell; and her brothers, Renelle Hall, Horace Sidney Boswell, William Ray Boswell and Dewayne "Bud" Boswell.
She is survived by: her sons, While, Kenneth D. Avera (Jan), Donald Keith Avera and Kevin Douglas Avera; her grandchildren, Chay Annice Barnes (Jeff), Chris Avera, Sarah Avera Thrower (Hunter), Olivia Avera and Paden Avera; and her great grandchild Holland Elaine Thrower.
