He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Spangler. He is survived by: his wife Karen Hunt Spangler; his children, Kevin Spangler (Kayla), Rachel Ramirez-Spangler (Heriberto) and Hallie James Spangler; his grandchildren, Kayden Spangler, Kinsley Spangler, Kamdyn Spangler, Olivia Ramirez-Spangler and Rowan Ramirez-Spangler; his siblings, Richard Spangler (Janet), Loretta Spangler (Mike Siegel), Renee Hunt, Jamie Harrell, Justin Hunt (Krisstel) and Charles Spangler; his father Charles Spangler (Ledenia); his parents-in-law, Jimmy and Donna Hunt; the mother of his children Julie Hendrickson; and his pets, Sandy and Jefferson. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Antioch Southern Methodist Church.
